【Used, Excellent Condition】Iuchi Seieido (Now Azwan) UVR-400 Ultraviolet Intensity Meter for UVA Measurement
The UVR-400 is a precision instrument for measuring ultraviolet radiation, equipped with two selectable ranges and a hold function. The sensor measures the UVA range of ultraviolet rays. As you know, UVA is the wavelength range primarily responsible for causes such as age spots, wrinkles, sagging skin, skin cancer, and skin allergies. Ultraviolet information on TV news is mostly expressed in units like [kJ/m2], which differs from the [mW/cm2] unit used by this measuring instrument. Roughly speaking, if the news reports that it has reached an ultra-dangerous level of 1000 [kJ/m2] (this is the total daily amount), the instantaneous value on this instrument would exceed approximately 1.16 [mW/cm2]. Therefore, if you measure for even a few seconds or a minute and the average exceeds this value, it means you are approaching the ultra-dangerous level mentioned in the news. In reality, it is expected that daytime measurements will easily exceed this 1.16 [mW/cm2].
