Purchased used from a vintage furniture store.

As shown in the 4th image, there is damage to the top part of the wood grain. This was present when I purchased it from the vintage furniture store, but I do not own any pets.

I would like to pass this on to someone who understands it as a used, vintage furniture item and appreciates vintage pieces.

Hida Sangyo is a long-established furniture manufacturer representing Japan.
The history of Hida Sangyo began in 1920 when Western bentwood technology was introduced to Hida Takayama. With the traditional craftsmanship of Hida's artisans, it was born as a Western furniture manufacturer, utilizing the beech virgin forests in the mountains of Hida, which were considered useless long trees. Hida Sangyo, boasting the highest level of technical skill in Japan, has realized difficult designs through its bentwood technology. They have developed many products using cedar, including the popular Mori no Kotoba series. It is a furniture manufacturer known worldwide as furniture with the woodpecker mark.
